The Razorhurst App Development Story

When we ran our promotion offering free publishing to the first three users to complete their apps we were delighted to find that one of the winners was an Australian.

Richard Fox has developed a location aware adventure that recreates the fleshpots of Sydney’s Darlinghurst and King’s Cross in the 1930′s. Players encounter virtual gangsters and colourful characters from Sydney’s underworld.

Here’s how Richard described his app development experience:

My backyard was once a sordid slum home to the notorious gangster Kate Leigh. Fascinated, I created a dark journey through my neighbourhood by using GPS to connect archival and recreated content to historical locations. I merge story and reality through photographs, video re-enactments, action gameplay and more. AppFurnace offers great flexibility, prefect for my diverse media palette, and apps allow me to reach new audiences with a rich and dramatic experience.
